Cheeses Of The Region

Cheeses of the region include the “chouzé de Saumur”, the “caillebottes d’Anjou”, the “Connerre”, and the famous “Saint Paulin”.

“Port Salut” also comes from this area, and was named in 1815 by monks of the abbey of Notre Dame de Port du Salut at Entrammes, near Laval.
